Welcome to the Elie Hirschfeld Sports Center

Elie Hirschfeld created this site to encourage others to pursue their personal sporting goals. After over 40 years of sport, including over 25 years as a competitive triathlete, the effort of training and racing continues to bring Mr. Hirschfeld deep personal satisfaction.

Elie Hirschfeld decided to compete in his first triathlon at the age of 35. At the time, Elie was a casual jogger, occasional biker, and terrible swimmer. Hirschfeld began by taking a few swimming lessons and upping the intensity and frequency of his running and biking. Says Elie Hirschfeld, “That was all it took. I was hooked!”

When Hirschfeld completed his first grueling race in 1985, he was briefly discouraged. He told his friends, “Let me tell you about my very last triathlon.” But by the age of 60, Elie had completed over 75 triathlons and 11 marathons. Mr. Hirschfeld even celebrated his 40th birthday by achieving his dream of competing in the Ironman World Championship Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii.

Elie Hirschfeld thinks his love of sport has undoubtedly changed his life for the better, and he hopes the experiences and resources he shares here will help others enjoy sports.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Hirschfeld.
